TREMEC True Street ClassMuscle Mustangs and Fast Fords/”Horse’s Mouth"/Evan J. Smith/July 2013 -- In its 20th season, MM&FF’s True Street class, sponsored by TREMEC, proved once again that it is perhaps the strongest category in all of heads-up racing with a record 118 participants entering the NMRA season opening Spring Break Shootout in Bradenton, Florida on March 8-11.

“NMRA’s True Street field was completely off the hook this year because we had way more features to offer our racers,” said Steve Wolcott, co-founder of the NMRA. “The top 16 racers get a free entry into the Spring Break Shootout class, and there was also a special TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout that recognized the top 8 quickest manually-shifted drivers. Additionally, the two quickest drivers faced off in a special match race, with the winner taking home a new Tremec Magnum XL six-speed transmission valued at over $3,500,” Wolcott added.

True Street is open to all Ford-bodied and powered street-legal cars (and trucks) and includes a 30-mile street cruise, followed by the trio of on-track passes to determine the winners. There are lots of prizes for all performance levels.
